What is omega-3 fatty acids?
The omega-3 fatty acids are very valuable for one's health. They are used in the cell membranes of nerves in the brain as well as in some other parts of the body.
EPA and DHA are most easily obtained from fatty fish, with somewhat lower amounts in virtually all seafood. Testing has found that the vegetarian diet is significantly more deficient than the non-vegetarian. Fish oil or microalgae oil supplements are simple ways of getting EPA and DHA and fish oil is very inexpensive. Flax seeds are vegetarian food source of them.
